i like the man in the blue coat who sits with his eyeglasses at the bridge of his nose reading a thick novel. i like the way he sits with his legs crossed in an extremely sophisticated manner. i like the way the group of girls and boys in their 20s are sketching on cheap art notebooks and discussing video games and technology. there is a boy at the counter who i’ve seen before; i think he plays shows around here. he’s makes remixes, i’ve talked to him about his set one night very briefly. super skinny and has got the most radical haircut. i like the woman with long pocahontas hair with a man who is cracking all the jokes and she’s laughing and it’s cute. i like the boy across from me with the skinny fit jeans on with dark dark dark brown hair and blue blue blue eyes. im making short, quick glances though, im not glaring, i promise. i am alone, sitting here eating my coffee cake reading a book with my headphones in and i wonder if anybody is observing me the way i am observing them.
